Freedom Church

In this message from Acts 19–22, we follow Paul’s third missionary journey and see how a life fully surrendered to Christ can impact entire communities. Through Paul’s ministry in Ephesus, true revival is shown not as hype or emotion, but as changed lives, disciples making disciples, miracles, repentance, and the Word of God prevailing. The sermon challenges believers to tear down idols, cut ties with the patterns of the world, and live rooted in the power of the Holy Spirit. Like Paul, we are called to faithfully run the race God has given us, even when obedience comes with cost.

This sermon walks through Acts 16–18 and Paul’s second missionary journey, highlighting the importance of listening to the Holy Spirit even when God redirects our plans. Through Paul and Silas worshiping in prison, we’re reminded that faithfulness in suffering becomes a powerful witness to others. In Athens, Paul shows how to proclaim Christ within the surrounding culture, pointing people from the “unknown god” to the risen Jesus. The message challenges believers to measure success not by human standards, but by effectiveness and obedience where God has placed them. It closes by emphasizing boldness, discipleship, and the need for Christian community through the example of Apollos, Priscilla, and Aquila.

Week six of our Acts series and this week we look into chapters 13-15. This is Paul's first missionary journey with Barnabas. We see the church sending them, ministry being both rewarding and rigorous, salvation by grace through faith, and freedom in Christ. Let's dive in.

Week five of our Acts series, and this week we look at chapters 9 through 12. Over the course of many years we see the first church navigate many things. From Saul's conversion to Gentile converts and how God continually goes before his people in mighty ways. What do this mean for us today and how does it direct our faith walk?

Week four of our Acts series. Today we look at acts chapter 6-8, and into the formation of leadership, Stephen's life and martyrdom, and the effects of a scattered church. How does this impact us in our faith walk and in our church? We learn that Spirit-filled believers serve the church, live faithfully, and go beyond their comfort.

Week three of our Acts series. This week we look at Acts 5 and some of the things happening in the course of the early church. We explore Ananias and Sapphira, preaching in the temple courts, jail encounters, and the apostles in front of the religious leaders. How do all these moments shape the early church and teach us what the aim of the church and the follower is?

Week two of our Acts series and we are looking at chapter 3 & 4. What did the church do as they grew, what power did they live by, and how did they respond when they started to get push back. 

New Series on the book of Acts. Each week we will dive into a group of chapters from Acts and see what we can learn from the original New Testament church for today in our faith walk. This week we look at Acts 1&2 and learn that we can't live without the power of the Holy Spirit.

The last week of Book Club and looking into the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. This week we look at the overall theme of the book and how it applies to our life. Particularly the idea that satan's plan is to get you distracted and disconnected from God and God's idea to create nearness between you and Him. 

Week three of Book Club series and Father's Day. This week we looked at letter 29 and living in Courage. We need more Stephens!!
